A flower park summary
The park boasts approximately 400000 plants and trees of some 2400 species, which include typical Japanese flowers such as the azalea, rhododendron, hydrangea and lily, as well as tropical and subtropical plants that are usually found in Brazil, Australia and South Africa
The park was constructed with utmost care to the conservation of the existing land formation and the natural environment such as the surrounding pine forests and flora. In addition, the surrounding scenery such as Mt. Kaimon (also known as the Mt. Fuji of Satsuma) and Kagoshima Bay (Kinko Bay) was also taken into account during the design of the park. The park also contains a valuable collection of plants native to Kagoshima and a variety of endangered plants.
Flowers and trees are laid within the sprawling grounds of the park, with the flowers and trees blending together as one in their flower beds.
